The story of Antigone deals with two main principle issues. First issue is to do what is morally right and the second issue is to do what is right by the law. When approached by King Kreon Antigone responds " Your edict, King was strong, but all your strenth and weakness itself against the immortal unrecorded laws of God. They are not merely now: they were, and shall be, operative for ever, beyond man utterly."(85) By this statement Antigone is asking Kreon who he thinks he is that he a man can change the immortal laws of God.
