Space Rock . Eros Eros is an asteroid but can be called a minor planet. It orbits the sun that sometimes causes it to closely pass as 14,000,000 miles next to Earth. …by pieces of 1 asteroid and or comet as it orbited Earth. John G. Spray,New Brunswick University studied craters made by asteroids from France to Canada. He studied lists of craters and discovered the third large crater in Manitoba. All three craters were about the same age. This study showed that these craters were in a line almost 3,000 miles long. It was believed that the two smallest craters were made by the small falling asteroid.
