Autism Sleep deficiency, having a high pain and fear thresh hold, poor social skills and echolalia are all common characteristics of autism. Autism is a "neurobiological disorder" that impairs communication and social skills. There is as of yet no clear consensus on the exact cause of autism. …there is currently no plausible explanation as to how autism occurs, nor is there a cure or specific treatment supported by the medical community. Perhaps a cure could one day be possible if Autism would receive more than 5% of the government research funding. I feel that expanded research funds, and more expectancy for future capabilities for Autistic children will put us on the right path for making life normal for autistic children and their families.
