October 14, 1998, first day of basketball tryouts at Nowell High. This day and the four days that followed would change my life on a mental aspect forever. …though I'm not as close to God as I want to be, I still give thanks to him for all I have, all I've been through, and all the places he is going to take me next. So this event may have seemed like the worst day in my life, but after all it was just a learning experience that I had to go through in order to grow stronger in the word of God.
