Bilingual Education in Miami

While California debates whether to stop teaching school children in two languages, the school system in Miami, Florida is expanding bilingual education. …in Spanish. In a survey done by the University of Miami it was found that 95% of businesses agreed on the importance of a bilingual work force. They also found that people who know both English and Spanish earned an average of $3000.00 more a year than those who only know English. Maybe it will take time for people in other states like California and Texas to realize the importance of a bilingual education for our children.
