Biography on Dave Mirra

Dave started riding at the age of four with his brother, and was jumping curbs and flying over dirt ramps by the time he turned five. He never thought he was special when he entered his first BMX freestyle contest in Columbus, Ohio at age ten and placed second to last. Dave has also contributed a lot back to the industry, starting a Woodward Scholarship for six kids to spend a week at the famous training facility camp in Pennsylvania; and has been involved with Make-A-Wish foundation. Dave has probably been the most influential rider to make BMX become known as a sport with true professional athletes, and at the same time, he always keeps the emphasis on having fun.
