Book Report on: A Geddes and J Tonge (editors), "Britain Decides". The UK General Election 2005 (Palgrave)

This book tells the story of Labour's third victory. Geddes and Tonge describe this election as a "rather dull campaign that produced some rather intriguing results" . In this book review I aim to summarise the main points which they have raised which justifies this description of the election and then to offer a critical analysis of these points. …out as Liberal Democrat leader by his own Members of Parliament, not singly for this reason. However, in my opinion it formed the backbone of feelings of unhappiness with Kennedy. So, perhaps Fieldhouse and Cutts have encouraged this movement. Overall, I found this book a pleasure to read. It is written in an animated, lively way and is extremely informative. Above all, the lack of bias within the author's arguments ensures a more interesting read.
