Can the Modern Presidency Survive the Modern Media?

When our Forefathers sat down to write a constitution, they did so in the hopes that times would change and that our government would adapt. Now, exactly how much change and adaptation, I don't think they had any idea. …to go and exactly how it would affect their lives. Will it survive? It has and it will because of the Framer's intuition that the free press and the leader of our country will work together. And while it seems, especially to some conservatives, that the media's only purpose in life is to destroy the President and his ideas, in all actuality the President needs the press. But more importantly, the media needs the President.
