Can winning the lottery promote suicidal tendencies?

In the UK, the National Lottery can result in an individual winning millions of pounds. But the question is whether it can also encourage someone to commit suicide or at least make them consider taking our own lives. However there are various sociological variables and factors that must be taken into account such as the socio-economic background or the stability of the individual before answering whether or not the lottery promotes suicidal tendencies.
