Cellular Metabolism in Yeast

Abstract The yeast Saccromyces cerevisae was placed in two different sets of test tubes along with glucose and MgSO4 or NaF to test the effects of the MgSO4 and NaF on yeast cellular metabolism. …did not have much of an effect overall as they were still lower than the other two groups. In one section, the data for all three groups ranged from 0-9 mm. This dramatically changed the rank order and prevented the NaF condition from having all the first rankings. If this group were to be excluded in the analysis, T would be 7.42 instead of 4.34. The critical value is 5.99, so we would have obtained a significant difference.
