UV index number ranging from 0 to 10+ lets people know what the amount of UV radiation is reaching the earth's surface usually around noon. The higher the number means more exposure. The index is forecasted in 58 cities, and is valid for a 30-mile radius from the city being forecasted, and any time there is a change this will alter the forecast.
