Character Analysis of "Lord of the Flies"

In the book, "The Lord of the Flies", there are quite a few main characters. However, three are the most important overall. Ralph, the leader of the group, who does not really know what to do most of the time, seems to be the main character of the story (based on the fact that it is through his perspective that we see everything). …Jack inspired fear, and loyalty (or loyalty through fear). Ralph inspired moans and grunts. Simon wandered off all the time, and sought true knowledge while shunning the politics of the other kids. They represent all sides of the spectrum, Jack on one side, Ralph in the middle, and Simon on the opposite side. Interestingly enough, Jack is the most evil, Ralph is in the middle, and Simon is the most good. That is no coincidence.
