Cigarette Smoking I. People dying everyday and not by something that they can control, they are dying because they choose to smoke. a. Tobacco use remains the number One preventable cause of death in the United States. i. Every day approximately 3,000young kids light up a cigarette and in most cases choosing their death by becoming a regular smokers. ii. Each year more people die from smoking than AIDS, alcohol, drug abuse, car crashes, murders, …

…them from trying to buy. c. Rising the age will make the people more mature when they get to the legal age. Hopefully then they will make the right choice and decide not to smoke. V. Between the law, cigarette companies, and the communities we should be able to get the message across that cigarettes are bad and that they kill, but if not at least they will know how they are going to die.
