Advertisements, mass production, sacrificing quality for time and quantity, the desire for bigger and better, these are the problems of commercialism. Commercialism has been advancing nearly unnoticed by most consumers even since Babylonian times. But, what makes it harmful enough to be explained in a paper? Everyday we sit in our homes desiring goods and services that we do not need or may not even want, and discussing issues that have little or no importance …

…a necessity to combat complete anarchy, and I see the functionality and benefits of commercialism, however, I still feel that mass media and sacrificing quality is not the way our markets should operate. I see more evil, greed, and power in society due to commercialism, and that is why I feel it is important enough to write it in such a long paper. Everything unnatural can be seen as commercialized, even my views against commercialization.
