Corporal Punishment takes place in homes, churches, and schools. It can involve anything from a simple spanking to harsh beatings. …and educators still practice corporal punishment. Based on the above studies, I have found that the negative side effects of corporal punishment far out weigh any benefits. Many supporters of corporal punishment will site the short term benefits of corporal punishment to support their ideas. Over all the use of corporal punishment will produce effective short term results, however, the possible mental and physical problems as children grow into adulthood are simply not worth it.
