Describe the creation of the United States.

The creation of the United States all began when the colonies settled in Jamestown. From there, they worked hard and long to obtain their independence, and to come together to be united as one. There were many reasons why England wanted to establish colonies. Gold and silver were prominent, so economic opportunities lured them the most. …Clearly, the Americans won the revolutionary war off of British mistakes. Also, they thought by capturing many cities, the colonies would surrender. Their strategy was all wrong, and so the colonies were not forced to surrender. From thirteen governed colonies, to independent states, they came a long way together. But through it all they fought very hard for their freedom, and in the end they were rewarded their ultimate independence and formed the United States.
