Discuss why there was a revolution in Russia in 1905.

The period of 1890-1917 was considered as a turbulent period in the history of Russia. There were three circumstances led to revolutionary unrest in Russia in 1905, namely, the Witte system of industrial expansion, the political groups demanding change in Russia and Russo-Japanese War. The different circumstances above listed the factors that built up the revolution in 1905, which were the rapid industrialization by Witte, the formation of different illegal political parties and the effects of the Russo-Japanese War on Russia. However, because of the not so concentrated forces and the localized revolution, the Revolution of 1905 was doomed to fail.
