Do Athletes Show Us What is Right and Wrong?

Michael Jordan, Pete Rose, Charles Barkley, Rae Carruth, Dennis Rodman. All of them are famous athletes, but are they also role models? Can they be both? These sports figures show deviance at the pro level but it occurs in college and even all the way down to the high school level. …movies but also in real life. What do we say to younger kids when they see blood dripping down a football player's chin or when a famous basketball player is arrested for drunken driving? Do we tell them, "they are athletes so it's ok"? Of course not! Sports figures are looked upon as more than just athletes. We look at them as idols and role models. We can only hope that they act as ones.
