There are differences drawn about in regards to the intermediate state, as all Muslims believe in Barzakh, whereas only some Catholics believe in an n intermediate state, which is purgatory. So I have drawn to say that both religions beliefs on life after death are very similar and where they differentiate are on personal interpretations made by either scholars or religious leaders.
