Essay on the nature of justice described in Plato's Republic

In Plato's classic, the Republic, Socrates is challenged by Glaucon and Adeimantus to prove justice is better than injustice. In doing so, Socrates must prove that justice is good in itself, rather than for its eternal rewards. …because I am inflicting pain, even though the severity of that pain is determined by the other person's decision. I am not sure what to pick because Socrates would not permit either of these acts, but if I had to make a decision I would rank B over A. I choose B over A because though there is still injustice being suffered, it is not as severe as the injustice being suffered in scenario A.
