Ethnic and Linguistic Canada

…perhaps leading to a division of Canada itself, remains a possibility. But nevertheless, in a functioning democracy these differences are worked out through the electoral process, rather than on the street. Although it is likely that ethnic relations in Canada will become more, rather than less, complicated, it is unlikely that differences will erupt into violence as long as members of various ethnic and linguistic groups are able to make their voices heard in Ottawa.
