…not be forced onto all other members of a democratic society. Yes, life is precious, but so is its quality. Those who wish to hang onto life to its bitter end have the privilege to do so. But do not force those who long for the tranquility of death to linger on in pain. As Greek historian Herodotus once said: "When life has become so burdensome, then death is for man, a sought after refuge."
