The June 1945, the Yalta conference was used to decide the future of Europe. Germany would be divided into four zones. Each one would be occupied by one of the Allies: Britain, the USA, France, and the USSR. Berlin would also be divided into four sectors. Germany would be forced to pay reparations, half of which would go to the USSR. Countries that had been occupied by Germany would be free to elect governments of their
Common Market" or E.E.C that extended economic integration between members. Within the boundaries of the participating states there was to be a common market, with no restrictions on the flow of goods. The Common Market would establish an external tariff with respect to all goods entering its trade area. The evolution of this program took place over ten- years. With each country wanting to make sure, they were not placed at a disadvantage.
