…you think that Eveline is going to escape her misery and move away with Frank, but in the end, it tells you that Eveline actually likes her current life and can't bring herself to leave it. It also leaves the reader wondering, even after the last sentence, because the whole story tells about Eveline's love for Frank and in the last paragraph it tells you that Eveline had no sign of love in her eyes.
