Feudalism of Japan and Western Europe

…and the lord. The samurai is another example of a difference. The samurai became a thoroughly dedicated group of warriors. One possible reason as to why these Feudal governments were different could be due to the different religions in each place. Western Europe was predominantly Christian, while the Japanese were mainly Buddhist. Most differences between the two, however, was quite small considering each developed a Feudal system simultaneously with the other halfway across the globe.
