Five Pillars of Islam
The spread of Islam all started sometime around the 4th or 5th century A.D. when Elijah Muhammad (who is known as the last prophet) had a vision. In this time period, centuries ago, the spreading, practicing, or even any affiliation that went against the the religion that was already in place was strongly prohibited and persecuted. Upon breaching the laws of the current leader of his time, Muhammad was executed, not to be forgotten,
put much emphasis on zakat so a Muslims should also. The fifth and final pillar is hajj or pilgrimage. The pilgrimage is a trip to Mecca in a spiritual journey following the way of Muhammad. A Muslims is supposed to go on hajj at least once in their life if at all possible. However, if one is unable to have the means to travel to Mecca, there are other substitutes that will also be accepted.
