Although, the supervisor is held more responsible than the employee here within my company for the projected career path of the employee this is something that both parties need to discuss. The supervisor discusses the strengths and area of improvement for each person on their team. And a good manager will also give advise for area's of improvement and a projected path to obtain a goal placed in front of the employee.
