"From Slavery to Freedom" by John Hope Franklin and Alfred A. Moss, Jr.

Every action that one does is followed by a consequence that one must deal with. True freedom does not exist, unfortunately. The history of African Americans in the United States simply cant be told without discussing racism as a structure
expansion of the black middle class; and the persistence of discrimination in the administration of justice. This book is readable and comprehensive, illustrated work, you can learn about men and women who worked, wrote, taught, served, healed, created, protested, died, dreamed, played, and were just human in every other way in America. I loved this book, the best so far. I would recommend this book to anyone that is taking an African American History class.
