…On Two New Sciences. These books were banned because they disagreed with what the church taught. That showed his expertise, and intelligence. Galileo was indeed a hero of the Renaissance. He built a telescope stronger than ever. He built it all while he was teaching. He also questioned a many of the churches teachings. If the church had known he agreed with the Copernican theory he would have been killed. Galileo was a true hero.
