…looked up to the faucets. Nobody seemed to breathe anymore and expected something to happen. And it happened: nobody left the gas chamber alive (9). My life was a life in shadows, a life of the Holocaust, meaning "sacrifice by fire". It was the final solution of the Nazis "Jewish problem" and it eventually lead to the end of 6 million lives (10). Many of them were given to the fire to disappear in smoke, like I did.
