…it is easy to observe lost jobs, but nearly impossible for critics to record new jobs created because of these additional resources received from trade and technology. It is really only possible by analyzing historical macroeconomic data, which will indicate the cyclical pattern that trade and technology do not reduce overall employment. We understand jobs are initially lost, however overall employment is constant in the long run. Globalization merely causes a temporary displacement of workers.
