…Movements are currently afoot to create integrated, easy-to-use desktop GUI environments for nontechnical users, and the distributions have come a long way in ease-of-installation. It is still not an OS that just anyone should install. However as developers, we both understand and demand more of our computers, so many of us may find that the increased power of a GNU/Linux system will help us do our work faster, more accurately, and with less drudgery.
