God's Gift to Women In her song, "God's Gift to Women", Jewel takes an interesting and indirect approach in disparaging popular and chauvinistic views on women's role in heterosexuality. Fortunately, being an attractive heterosexual woman myself, I am already aware of the disgusting portrait our male-dominated society has painted of me. I am also aware of what to look out for in a man's behavior and am aware of my sexual freedom and personal identity apart from my body.
