…look three dimensional. I like the red-figure style because the increased complexity made possible by the style is used to develop new techniques of foreshortening, and perspective. Human statues and pottery have played vital roles in ancient Greek sculptures. Vase painting has always fascinated me, with the different styles showing development through the century. Through the use of geometric style, black-figure style, and red-figure style we are able to see the progression through the period.
