Green Mile
It's almost always a certainty that if you read a book and really enjoy it, the film version of it will not meet your expectation. A film cannot get across the thoughts of its characters, whereas they are simply written in a book. I have been disappointed over and over again by films of books. One such case recently was that of Thomas Harris's Hannibal. I left the cinema feeling really chatted. They had taken
audience of people who might not read, and have told the story exactly as King had intended it to be told. I enjoyed this film so much that I bought it for myself as soon as it went on sale. I've watched it several times, and shall probably watch it some more. It is one of the best films I have ever watched, and certainly the best 'film of the book' that I know of.
