Gun Availability and Violent Crime

Americans are faced with an ever-growing problem of violence. Our streets have become a battleground where the elderly are beaten for their social security checks, where terrified women are viciously attacked and raped, where teen-age gangsters shoot it out for a patch of turf to sell their illegal drugs, and where innocent children are caught daily in the crossfire of drive-by shootings. …that criminals would somehow find themselves compelled to obey the gun laws. Both of these articles deal with whether or not gun availability in America increases the levels of gun violence. Both articles say that gun availability does not increase the levels of gun violence. They both say that criminals will always find ways to get guns. Whatever the government does to regulate gun sales, both legal and illegal, America will still have violent crime.
