…more civilized country by helping it's economy and developing it democratically. NAFTA has made North America the largest free-trade zone in the world. However, I think that environmental and labor laws should be followed more carefully. There has been damage to the environment and many people have lost jobs making some skeptical of the economic system, but overall, it accomplished great growth for the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and brought these nations closer together.
