Much of society today revolves around people's differences. We are confronted on a daily basis by issues such as Affirmative Action, Gay rights, and Women's rights. Race, religion, sexual orientation, and gender can affect your working and social lives in a very serious way. People seem to be getting more and more determined to get more acceptance and tolerance for differences. Common catch phrases of the last few years have included "Equal Rights For All" …

…that focuses on solving the problem instead of taking care of its repercussions time and time again. Things like anger management and stress-handling skills classes may prove very effective in teaching our nation how to cope with their problems instead of taking them out on others. Ultimately, the problem lies with the people. The fact of the matter is that hate crimes cannot be stopped until we learn how to live peacefully with our differences.
