Hayakawa vs. King - English only movement

Hayakawa vs. King What? Como? Does language matter? There is a movement to establish English as the official language of the United States. Surprising as it may seem, this issue is growing more and more controversial. Two key players involved in the issue are Robert D. Hayakawa and Kings present their arguments with similar tools but have very different styles. Both use history and statistics as the building blocks for their arguments but arrive at two different conclusions. Each has a compelling argument but as evident by my personal response it is a decision that must be made by each individual.
