The motivation for the immigrants to move varied. Some were moving to avoid religious persecution, others for economic reasons. While others also moved due to political reasons. …me to imagine myself in one colony over the other but if I had to pick one my choice would be the Chesapeake Bay colony. Life just seems more exciting when you must fight to keep it. The land was harsh and the wilderness surrounded them. Nature against man has always seemed such a romantic notion.
