The fact that the people of Australia didn't want to be completely ruled by the government of another country so far away, also none of the states or colonies were forced to join in a Constitution, this probably helped with why Federation was so successful. <Tab/>I think federation was a good thing for this country, because it made us a stronger and a more independent country.
