…The jury is still out on the putative effects of these trans fatty acids. Better-designed research is needed to be conducted to know all of the effects. The long standing nutrition dogma that unsaturated fats are preferred over saturated fats stands still, but more facts are needed on trans fat. More education to the public is still needed, but people with a risk of Cardiovascular Heart Disease should avoid a high intake of trans fat.
