…identity is just certain characteristics that make me unique and different from everyone else. Like Rodriguez, I have finally defined myself as a young woman whose identity could be either Latino or American. It does not matter how people see me or what they say about me. I am always going to have my Latino background, but I also have to accommodate to this country that has been my home for most of my years.
