The thesis of this essay is,"How inequality in our society is affecting democracy." Different social and economic statuses translates that differnent peoplr have different opportunities. In a society with political equality, society would find a way to provide equal opportunity for everyone. Economic and social priveledges can break down political equality by using it to their advantage to gain greater political power.
