Internationalism vs Nationalism: Case Studies

…did not want another World War on their hands. One of the key points of this pact was the Czechoslovakia was to remain independent. But in March of 1939, Hitler went in, invaded and dismembered Czechoslovakia anyway. None of the other parties involved in the Munich pact took any action. World War II ensued about a year later. This goes to show that Internationalism has its weaknesses when countries fail to follow through with their agreements.
