Is War Ever Just?

I believe that war can be justified, but only in extreme circumstances e.g. In World War II. If Hitler had not been stopped then the effect on the world may have been even more horrific. The loss of human life would have been far greater if Hitler had progressed to take over the rest of the world and spread the ideas behind his regime to everyone else. …often seen as un-just and people often view it as having been without reason but I believe that Sadam Hussein, even though he may not have had weapons of 'mass destruction' he had killed many people and had been ruling unfairly. This war, I believe, was just as were many others but an even bigger number have not been. War, however, is something we just cannot avoid and will always be there, just or not.
