Is television good for children?

Most times in life people play sports for fun in someone's backyard or at the park. Most people play basketball at someone's house. When they play ball they usually don't call fouls or play by the exact rules. So once in awhile friends will fight over something stupid but they will most times not be responsible about it. …television is good for children. It provides them with a great learning experience. It can teach them about history, current events, animals, and human civilization. It will enlarge their vocabulary skills and their own understanding of the world. Some might want to call these kids "couch potatoes" but if they are watching the right programs most of the time they are really learning and not just tuned into the television all day dazed and confused.
