Is the Mexican Revolution justifiably called a revolution?
The Mexican Revolution threw Mexico into turmoil for about two decades making itself an established time period in Mexican history. It has been written down as a revolution as people had rose together to get their voice heard. In this essay I shall look at the facts of the situation and see if this event in Mexican history is justifiably called a revolution. The Mexican revolution occurred when the Porfiratio, or the 35 year reign of
disorder. The Mexicans did no fight with spirit or a common enemy or with any ideology. It was mainly a civil war led by various leaders for whom their personal agenda of acquiring power was what drove this battle. An illusion of it being a revolution was created because of Mexico's prior history and the longevity of the war but overall it is my opinion that the Mexican revolution is not justifiably called a revolution.
