Jacksonian Democracy In the 1820's and 1830's Jacksonian Democrats showed that they were the guardians of the United Stated Constitution, political democracy, individual liberty, and equality of economic opportunity. This also shows the Democrats dislike of monopolies which create an unfair market. The Jacksonian Democrats unquestionably established themselves as the defenders of the US Constitution, political democracy, liberty, and equal economic opportunity. Andrew Jackson in particular politically fought for all of these beliefs which are today fixed in our government.
