Jewish observance of Shabbat.

We are commanded to remember and observe the sabbath. Shabbat is the most holy of observances. The measure of a Jew is often dependent on their level of observing Shabbat. …can ever welcome into their home. That guest is not just the presence of G-d, but our own holiness, that what makes each individual person that much better. Not only do the candles burn brighter and the food taste better, but our souls burn brighter and we become slightly better people, if only for the 25 hours of Shabbat. The challenge of course is to extend this time beyond Shabbat to every moment of our lives.
